Prolonged treatment for spots will have to involve dietary changes, to incorporate essential vitamins , minerals, and antioxidants.

Apple cider vinegar is a great natural remedy for many conditions, including acne. It is great for boosting your immune system and can be used to treat infections and inflammations. You can use this remedy internally and externally with good results. You will want to dilute it, though, as it has a strong taste and can be harsh against the skin if it's not diluted. Raw, organic apple cider vinegar is your best option if you can find it. Use the cider vinegar to spot treat the places you have pimples. You will get more effective results if you also drink apple cider vinegar several times a day. You can make salad dressing using the apple cider vinegar, as well. Acne is a common but embarrassing condition, but luckily there are a number of homemade acne remedies that you can use. In this article I am going to briefly explain each of the best homemade acne remedies, including oatmeal mask, tea tree oil, honey & apple mask, vinegar, egg white & lemon mask, and pineapple & honey mask.

Oatmeal Acne Mask

This is a great acne remedy that you can make easily. All you do is mix oatmeal and water together and then cook, just like you would if you were going to eat it. Once it has cooled down to room temperature, spread it onto your face and leave it for about 10 or 15 minutes, and then wash off using warm water. Use twice daily.

Teat Tree for Acne

Pimple scarring can happen in the normal process of healing of the skin. This occurs when the innermost part of the skin known as the dermis, is damaged. Damages to the dermis can take place, when the pores of the skin are clogged, due to the secretion of unwanted oil by the sebaceous glands in the skin.

Another acne remedy that you can use at home is tea tree oil, which has very powerful antibacterial properties. However, this comes with a warning: don't put it on your face neat. Doing that can harm your skin. Tea tree oil is very strong.

The easiest way to use tea tree oil is to get it in a gel. You can get Aloe Vera Gel with tea tree oil in it, for example. You should be able to find this in most good health food stores. Apply liberally to the infected area. Tea tree oil has a rather strong smell, so it's best to apply it just before going to bed.

Apple & Honey Acne Treatment

A honey and apple mask is another great homemade acne remedy. Just grate an apple and then mix with some honey. Spread onto your face and then leave it for 15 or 20 minutes, and then wash off with warm water. Use two or three times a week.

Vinegar

Another great homemade acne treatment, useful especially for blotchy redness, is apple vinegar. Just mix a tablespoon of apple vinegar with a glass of water. Stir. Get some cotton balls, and dip them into the apple vinegar solution and dab onto your acne. It's best to do this just before you go to bed, and then wash off when you get up in the morning.

Egg White & Lemon Acne Mask

Egg white and lemon is another great way to make a homemade acne treatment. Crack open two eggs, and separate the whites from the yolks. Whisk the egg whites until they become foamy, then add 2 teaspoons lemon juice - add more lemon if your skin is especially oily.

Using a cotton ball, dab the solution onto the affected areas of your skin. Leave it until it completely dries, and then rinse off with cool water. Don't apply any make-up for a few hours. Apply a specially created moisturizer if your skin feels dry.

Honey & Pineapple Acne Treatment

This homemade acne remedy is similar to the honey and apple one mentioned earlier. Mash a cup of pineapple, and then drain off the juice. Add a tablespoon of honey and mix together. Apply to your acne and then leave it for approximately 20 or 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly using warm water.
